One and Only Game King Holiday Game Guide

2-4 Year Olds

Math Sandwich
Ages 3+

Can you fill the orders for sandwiches? Order cards call for specific ingredients that you have to compile. The sandwich components are made of felt and are great to play with. This teaches math skills, and it doubles as a fun toy, so you can use it to play food activities.

Exit Kids Ages 3+ (Maybe 2 with help)

This is not like the “Exit” games for older players. Instead, the child draws a card and tries to gather clues in a variety of ways to find a trio of animals to solve the riddle. This can be a solo game for kids, teaching them to use clues for problem solving. This a very simple game that kids 3-4 years old could play, or younger with help.

Race To The Treasure
Ages 4+

Can you get to the treasure in time? In this simple cooperative game, you build a path to find treasures and get to the goal before the ogre does. Great with problem solving and working together. A good first strategy game for kids, too.

Pengaloo
Ages 3+

Adorable solid wood penguins are hiding colored eggs. When you roll the dice, you have to remember which colored eggs are under which penguin. Bring them to your iceberg until you have enough to win. But watch out, your penguins can get stolen.

Tongues Out
Ages 3+

Squishy pugs have gotten into the candy shop so their tongues are different colors. When you squeeze them, their colored tongues stick out. Find the right colored tongues and remember which ones are which as you round up the cute, squeezable dog.

Cake N Bake Challenge
Ages 2+

I love this game, but feared it had been discontinued….turns out, it was just being repackaged. Flip over a card and then build your cake to match the colors and toppings pictured. It’s a race to see who is first, but this is also a great toy when you’re not playing the game.

Zingo
Ages 3+

This is a child’s version of Bingo. A fun tile dispensing machine (the “Zinger”) slides to reveal two tiles. Your “Zingo card” has images on it and you have to find tiles to match those on your card. Fill your card and you win. This could be a pre-school game.

Bears in Pairs
Ages 2+

This is a great first “memory” game. You hide three pairs of bears behind doors and then open the doors to reveal the match. The bears are adorable and the doors are part of a little “playhouse” that can double as a toy when you’re not doing the matching part.

First Orchard
Ages 2+

Your orchard has three trees and you have to pick the red, yellow and blue fruits one by one and put them in your basket before the raven makes it to the orchard. The pieces are wooden, sturdy and colorful. This is a very early stage cooperative game and could be a child’s first
game.

Fishing Alphabet
Ages 2+

Go fishing with magnetic fish and your special fishing pole to catch fish with letters. That can let you spell words or just match colors. This game plays on different levels for kids learning colors (2-4) and those learning letters and learning to spell (5-7). And who doesn’t like catching fish with magnets?

Memory Game Sounds
Ages 3+

This memory matching game has a new twist. You can match the pairs of birds by the sounds they make. So, it builds auditory and visual skills. It also has a puzzle component to it. Best for ages 3+

Logic Road Builder Game
Ages 4+

This game is part toy/part game. Kids have to figure out how to place “road pieces” on the board to make the truck drive along a path to deliver it’s ball to the pit at the end of the road. Mix and match the road pieces in this game that teaches early deduction and puzzle
solving skills.
